How It Got Started

My Story

After an adventurous and soul-searching journey in Israel, teaching English to young children, I am ecstatic about returning to my Reggio-inspired roots.  I started my work in Early Childhood Education as an assistant in a local preschool after high school and truly fell in love. I continued working in and studying early childhood until I graduated with my BA in Child Development from UNCC and became a full-time teacher. Visiting Reggio Emilia Italy during my college years was integral to my development as an educator. My belief is that a classroom should feel like an extension of home for children, and that creating a safe and loving environment is the best way for children to learn and develop a sense of wonder.
